Huescar
Huescar, Granada Province, Spain has a population of around 8,000 people and is a traditional Andalucian town offering a great selection of shops, supermarkets, banks and services as well as retaining its traditions. The town is popular with tourists passing through during the summer months.
Thursday is market day in the town. The market is split in two. You will find an array of fruit and veg stalls in the first half of the market and if you walk through to the main square (with the bandstand) you will see the second half of the market. Here you are able to buy clothes, bedding, furnishings etc.
The market starts around 9am and finishes around 12.30pm.
Shops generally open Monday to Saturday around 10am closing around 1.30pm-2pm.
Monday to Friday shops reopen around 5.30pm through to 8pm. They do open later during the summer months.
