Romería de la Virgen de la Cabeza
La Solana's Fiesta takes place the last Sunday in April.
Officially known as the Virgin of the Cebeza (head) this is a religious celebration. A service commences in the village of Castril around 10.30am, then the Virgin is carried from Castril up to La Solana (arriving approximately 11.30-12pm) and she is placed in the church.
People come to celebrate by way of a fiesta that is normally followed by paella and beer.
A further procession takes place at 7pm, then the evening gets under way with live music, dancing and more drinks.
